Ms. Ngcobo is a B.A. (Social Science) graduate, holding a post graduate diploma in management from Wits Business School. Ms. Ngcobo participated in the prestigious executive education programme at Harvard Business School (P.M.D.) and undertook diplomatic training in Zimbabwe pre-1994 for the South African Government. She has undertaken many short courses locally and abroad in human resources and leadership.
She is a founder member of TNA, a management consultancy, as well as MANYUSWA Petroleum Pty Ltd., a bulk fuel distributor. Ms. Ngcobo has a wealth of in-depth experience on both human resources and marketing gained in large corporations, in an executive capacity over the years including Ogilvy and Mather the Advertising Agency, OK Bazaars retail stores, JCI Ltd (the 100-year-old Anglo American subsidiary), the South African Reserve Bank. Ms Thelma Ngcobo was the first Black Female General Manager at the SARB Â Â in charge of OD& HR. She has also worked for DTI, and Alexander Forbes Financial Services, as well as the Office of the Premier in Gauteng.
Thelma is both strategic and operational in her approach to assignments as a generalist and served on board committees as chairman of HR and remuneration including social and ethics committees. Her passion for humanities has transcended into advocacy work in pursuit of sustainable development goals in the communities and the Church. She also serves on risk and governance committees and therefore also very sensitive about governance in structures.
