Zanele Luvuno, CEO and founder of Metamorphosis Integrated Solutions has an extensive career spanning over two decades. She has primarily worked in the people space in the area of coaching, talent acquisition, executive search, and partner profiling for transactions.
Zanele’s insights are based in a career in talent acquisition which began in 2000, serving prominent South African and African corporations. Since then, she has conducted interviews with thousands of applicants from graduates to executives of listed organisations. This course is anchored on the hours spent engaging with individuals and their workplace experiences. These discussions have allowed Zanele to understand what drives candidates when choosing their workplace, how they navigate their time at the company and why they eventually leave. Many organisations only get to hear employee challenges at exit interview but Zanele believes by then it is too late.
Zanele has been listening intently not only to what people say but also to what’s being left unspoken in exit interviews within the organisations. Through her experience, there has been a recurring theme that cuts across all levels of career, skillsets and disciplines: the overwhelming desire of people to be allowed to be their true selves, and to feel empowered in their quest for personal success.
Her individual point of view with regards to clients’ issues and problem-solving has resulted in novel ideas which not only have improved her professional career significantly but have created long-term answers for her clients’ organisations.
Zanele’s story may be used to create a roadmap for individuals as well as organisations, as individuals make up organisations after all. While we cannot immediately change our organisations and their cultures or sub cultures, we can take our power back and shift how we show up in them. We can find a way to tap into our uniqueness which sets us apart from others, while enhancing the collective. Zanele’s belief is that her story and processes will serve to guide any individual who is feeling blocked or ready to take the next step in terms of career (No matter how senior you are there is always a next step).
Authenticity may be underrated in organisations when we compare it to driving shareholder value but when you consider that unique innovations products and services could be sitting right in front of you and they just haven’t been recognised, it starts to be an investment worth making.
